I was searching today to estimate prices for the trip and remembered I'd just seen an add on TV for Kayak.com this site gives airfare and Hotel rates from lots of different sites. I have an Early estimate for prices for the Travel Aspect and Hotels. This does not include attractions, shopping or food.
$644 Round Trip to and from London
$90 Afternoon Eurostar Train to Paris
$171 Train From Paris to Rome
$95 Plane from Rome to London
$403 Each for Hotels
this estimates out to about $1400 this is using fake dates in November 2006 so it's likely to change, but this gives us atleast a minimum estimate.

Can we also look at dates in Sept, or the first few weeks of Oct? The busiest month of my job is November and the last few weeks of October.
November is the cheapest, but we'll look around for the best deals we may be able to do October I'm not sure it's still a ways off we'll probably get better price estimates later this year or early next year since most sites don't even go past July 2007 for booking trips right now
